I am fundamentally motivated to make an impact in the lives of each person I encounter.
I am a dairy farmer's daughter from Jasper County Illinois and agriculture is in my DNA and at the core of everything that I do. When we look back over the course of our lives, we realize that it is nonlinear and takes unexpected paths, but we can identify common themes that take us from one step to the next.
guiding with heart
These are the seeds that were planted when we were young, took root as we matured, and continued to grow deep and strong to keep us grounded through the twists and turns of life. Inherently, we cultivate these roots with values and experiences that nurture us to grow.
Over the last 35 years, I have worked in public and private education, the agriculture industry, corporate America, non-profit organizations, the entrepreneurial space and emerging science and technology industry. It is through all those experiences that I came to realize that one of the strongest themes through my life is that of legacy and helping families identify, preserve and protect theirs. Let’s be honest, we all want to leave something to those who come after us.
Oh I have those 35 years of leadership development, training, and public speaking experiences. But more than that, I have thousands of hours of kitchen table conversations, in which I’ve listened and been curious so I can understand the life your family has built, the challenges you face and the goals you have to ensure that the values and stories you hold dear, just as I do, endure long after you are gone.
